World Mental Health Day - College of Nursing

World Mental Health Day is organized by the World Federation for Mental Health
This year’s Day is supported by WHO, the International Association for Suicide Prevention, and United for Global Mental Health.

In this regard, faculty members of Ziauddin College of Nursing Ms Daizi Jafer and Ms Shabnam Hamir attended the event on October 10^th 2019 at Karwan-e-Hayat, Karachi

The theme of the event was: Suicide prevention

The event was divided on different sub-topics: Building Resilience, Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention and Contributing factors to suicide prevention.

The program was attended by Prof. Dr. Iqbal Afridi, Prof, Dr, Raza-ur-Rehman, Prof. Dr. Imran and Prof. Dr. Farukh Ahmed. The chief guest was Health secretary Government of Sindh.

The major highlight was to share the factors by giving presentation on above topics on prevention of suicide.
