REPORT ON CURRICULUM RETREAT 2022

The curriculum retreat is a process to analyze the gap, identify the alternative and incorporate the course and program learning outcome. The session for undergraduate and graduate nursing program was held from Monday June 13, 2022 till Friday June 17, 2022 at Ziauddin Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery campus. All the faculty members were invited, and respective course coordinator presented their courses. The session was supervised by director of undergraduate program Dr. Sumaira K. Punjwani and graduate program Ms. Afshan Nazly, along with Chair Curriculum committee Dr. Yasmin Amarsi. The activity proceeded in ascending order of BScN Program i.e. From Year I to Year IV and MSN Program from Year I to Year II.

This activity intended to evaluate the BScN courses for its quality based on teaching learning process and assessments placed in each course, along with comparison with parallel courses for congruency in content and flow during semester. The courses were also appraised for its level of complexity and translation of credit hours into weekly schedules.

The intended impact of this exercise will produce significant alignment among courses, appropriate execution and integrated concepts delivery to students between science and nursing courses. This can enhance the understanding of course content, generate critical thinking and promote consistent learning experience for students.
